Systech obtains contract to host Data Depot as part of the California Smog Check Program

Systech International, LLC has been awarded a contract with the California Department of Consumer Affairs, Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) for the hosting and maintenance of the BAR’s Low Pressure Fuel Evaporative Tester (LPFET) Data Depot as part of the California Smog Check Program.  Under the new contract, Systech will provide a networked data management system that will collect, analyze and report on the test results from thousands of LPFET devices at certified Smog Check stations throughout California. Systech will also provide initialization and Help Desk services for Smog Check stations to establish their initial link to the Data Depot.

“We appreciate the opportunity to continue to support the Bureau of Automotive Repair with this important part of the Smog Check program,” said Mr. Lothar Geilen, President and CEO of Systech.  “Our data management technology is well suited for the job and will provide uninterrupted service to BAR and the Smog Check stations.”

The Contract term is for one (1) year with three (3) one-year options to extend the contract.

“Systech has been a supportive partner of the LPFET program since it began several years ago,” said Mr. Dave Lewis, California Bureau of Automotive Repair.  “We are pleased that they will continue to provide the Data Depot and support services that have made this program a success and helped California reach its air quality goals.”

Systech’s Data Depot collects test results from thousands of Cal EVAP testers in use in California’s Smog Check program and gives BAR the ability to transfer configuration files and software updates to the Smog Check stations’ LPFET units.  It also provides BAR with instant access, via Web-based tools, to test results from the LPFET units allowing BAR to view, query and download data contained in the Data Depot at any time, 24/7.
