Systech selected by Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality for support and services contract

Murray, Utah, March 9, 2009 —Today, Systech International was awarded a contract for the Louisiana Emission and Safety Inspection System Support Services issued by the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality.  Starting April 1, 2009, Systech will be providing services in the five-parish Baton Rouge area for performing on-site activations and support services at inspection stations, and establishing/maintaining a Help Center for providing troubleshooting support for the Louisiana Emission and Safety Inspection System (LA 2002).

Systech was selected by competitive procurement.  The contract period is one year with two possible one-year extensions.

“We are proud to be selected as the winning bidder for the important emission testing services in the State of Louisiana,” said Mr. Lothar Geilen, President and CEO of Systech.  “This win is confirmation of our strategy to provide government agencies with the best value in the industry. We will employ our Internet-based service application coupled with ‘old-fashioned’ hands-on premier service to the 170 inspection stations in the Louisiana vehicle testing area.”

The contract calls for Systech to maintain and provide support for the On-Board Diagnostic (OBD II) testing and data collection system at a very high standard in order to provide excellent service to the motoring public.  The emissions tests are performed in conjunction with annual safety inspections. These annual safety and emissions inspections consist of inspecting the vehicle’s safety equipment, a visual anti-tampering check of emissions equipment, a gas cap integrity test and an OBD II test of the emission control systems.
