Systech begins vehicle inspection business in Perú

Systech Peruana, s.r.l., DBA ReviStar, began vehicle emission inspection operations in the Province of Ica, Perú today.  The company received its certificate of operations from Ministry of Transportation and Communication (MTC) earlier this week, which authorizes participation in the official vehicle inspection program in Perú, known as CITV.

In February 2010, Systech broke ground in Ica, Perú on its first inspection station. The building contains a modern customer service area and three inspection lanes serving passenger vehicles, mini-busses, busses and trucks.  The inspection lanes make use of Systech fully automated inspection equipment to provide efficient, unbiased inspection service to the public.  Each lane includes sideslip, suspension, brake, headlight, visual safety, and emission testing equipment.

“I sincerely want to thank Ministry of Transportation and Communication and everyone who participated in the implementation of this project,” said Mr. Frank Ofiero, Vice President of Systech Peruana s.r.l.  “This is the first of many inspection stations that we plan to operate in Perú. We have a great team of employees in Perú who have worked tirelessly over the past six months to get us where we are today.  Our managers, office personnel, lane operators and engineers have performed admirably and I congratulate them all.”

Systech expects to expand rapidly in the $50 million Perúvian vehicle inspection market.

“Systech’s new inspection station in Ica, Perú is our first step into the attractive Latin American vehicle inspection market.  Perú and other countries in the region offer tremendous growth opportunities for our business outside of the U.S.” said Lothar Geilen, President of Systech International. “With the advantages of our professional staff and proven inspection technology, we expect ReviStar to quickly become recognized as one of the top vehicle inspection companies in Perú.”
