Systech International expands into vehicle inspection market in Perú

Systech has received a business license to perform vehicle inspections in Perú in association with the Ministry of Transportation and Communication (MTC). The company will be opening its first inspection station in June 2010 and expects to expand rapidly in the $50 million Perúvian market. The vehicle inspection program in Perú, known as CITV, includes sideslip, suspension, brake, headlight, visual safety, and emission tests.  Systech’s fully automated inspection process will provide a significant cost advantage and proven technology for CITV.

“Systech’s expansion into Perú is our first step into the attractive Latin American vehicle inspection market. Perú and other countries in the region offer tremendous growth opportunities for our business outside of the U.S.,” said Lothar Geilen, President of Systech International. “We are excited to bring our fully automated vehicle inspection technology to these markets. Our goal is to quickly become one of the top three vehicle inspection companies in Perú.”

In February 2010, Systech broke ground in Ica, Perú on its first inspection station. The building will contain a modern customer service area and three inspection lanes serving passenger vehicles, mini-busses, busses and trucks.

“After many months of local research and preparation we are excited to see our efforts in Perú come to fruition. We are very pleased to have our first inspection facility in Ica, Perú under construction,” stated Mr. Frank Ofiero, Vice President of Systech Peruana s.r.l. and responsible for the program rollout. “We are looking forward to aggressively expanding our activities in Perú in order to serve our customers with fast, convenient, quality vehicle inspections.  The CITV program in Perú will benefit from Systech’s global expertise.”
