How is Total Screen Funded?

Total Screen leverages a Clean Screen fee paid in lieu of a normal station based emissions inspection fee to fund all of the Remote Sensing program elements, including:

  • High Emitter and Evaporative Emitter Identification Programs (voluntary or mandatory)
  • Vehicle Scrap and Repair Program
  • Program Evaluation and Inspection Station Auditing
  • Potential costs incurred by the administrating oversight agency.

Total Screen can be implemented in a way that is 100% self-funding – offering a high value program complement with at no costs to the jurisdiction!
